About Library

SPIOM Library is most lively place in the Institute that enables learning & advancement of knowledge. It has methodically developed the collection of books and journals right from its inception. It is rich in collection, which consists of Text books, Reference books, Journals, Magazines, General books, Books for competitive exam, etc. It also subscribes e-journals packages of Management disciplines of well international publishers to enhance & promote research activity.

The Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) enables library users to search the books database by Title, Author and Publication, etc. Library follows the arrangement and classification of books using Dewey decimal classification system. Student’s reading area capacity is about 60 seats at one time; it has got 05 Computers and one server in Local Area Network (LAN). The machines are supported with power back up facility for uninterrupted usage.

Library Aim:

The Library aims to provide new knowledge through acquisition, organization, and dissemination of knowledge resources and providing for value-added services.

The library is well equipped with contemporary amenities including internet and Closed Circuit Television System (CCTV). It is divided into parts like Stack section, Circulation Section, Digital Library, Language lab, Reading hall with a seating capacity of 60 students is available. We offer open access to the stack room so that readers can choose the book of their area of interest. The library is continuously upgraded by acquiring the books, e-resources, CD’s, project reports, newspapers. The library has various sections viz. Stacking area, periodical section, digital library section, processing area, reading hall.

A proper process of enrolling to the library facility exists. List of admitted students is collected from the coordinator then the admitted Students need to fill up the Library enrolling form then ID card and library card (borrower’s card) are given to students for the library transactions. The same process is used for staff also.

Working hours of the library

Working hours of the library are 9.30 a.m.-5.30 p.m. excluding holidays. Reading halls Seating Capacity is made for 60 students.

During Examination Days 9.00 A.M to 6.00 P.M
During Vacation 9.30.00 A.M to 5.30 P.M

Classification System:

The library has an Open access system and use of Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) Classification Scheme for the systematic arrangement of the Books. High-speed business broadband Internet connection facility is available in the library.
